Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

The new game called Counter-Strike: Global Offensive aka CSGO, will be releasing in 2012, no exact date has been announced as of yet. Even though this game is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms, the online first-person shooter based game was not originally going to release on PS3.
It was intended to be an XBLA launch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was a title update to Counter-Strike: Source and was going to release on XBLA as a downloadable, but then it was decided that expanding to other platforms would be a good option.
Because the creators started working a little more with Sony on Portal 2, it seemed the right thing to do to bring to the PlayStation network. Players on both Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source believe that Counter-Strike was the definitive version, so it was time for the creators to bring something new to the table with the new game, where both communities that love there desired versions above would be brought into the new game.
So basically the goodness for both Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source, will be in the new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive game in 2012. Please read the full story over on Gamers Mint, are you looking forward to CSGO?
